Caesar!
Two posts in one day?! What's gotten into me? Maybe I'm just making up for lost time. Anyway, here is a portrait I did of a bust of Caesar that was in the studio. I used oil paints and pushed the expression to show him angry. The other portrait is done in charcoal and is a fairly decent representation of what the bust looks like with an underlight.
Flour Sacks & Animation
Traditional Animation has been a lot of fun so far. We started with simple ball bounces and progressed to flour sacks. They are great for getting the basic shape of a character down without all the superfluous details to get in the way. I'm pretty pleased with the way this turned out, even though there might be more I would do to it if I had the time. It's all part of the learning curve and I'm always amazed at how much there is to learn with each new project.
